Commercial Automobile Policy Symbols:
Symbol 1 - Any Auto
Coverage for any auto used for business operations. Includes vehicles the insured owns, doesn’t own and hires for business operations.
Symbol 2 - Owned Autos Only
Only covers vehicles owned by the business
Symbol 3 - Owned Private Passenger Autos Only
Only covers private passenger vehicles owned by the business. Excludes trucks, buses, etc.
Symbol 4 - Owned Autos, Other Than Private Passenger Autos Only
Only covers non-private passenger vehicles owned by the business like trucks, buses, etc.
Symbol 5 - Owned Autos Subject to No Fault
Symbol 6 - Owned Autos Subject To A Compulsory Uninsured Motorists Law
Symbol 7 - Specifically Described Autos
Only covers vehicles specified on the insurance policy
Symbol 8 - Hired Autos Only
Only covers vehicles rented, leased, borrowed or hired for the business
Symbol 9 - Non-owned Autos Only
Only covers vehicles the business does not own, lease, borrow or hire used in the course of business. For example, if an employee uses their own car to run a company errand.
